  1. Who are Jacob and Daniel and what is JDWD about?

  4. How do I contact Jacob and Daniel?

1. Who are Jacob and Daniel?
We are twin brothers and Boy Scouts from Ft. Worth, Texas. We wanted to find a project we could work on that would combines things we like, so we chose a web site building business that focuses on Scout groups. That way we could limit our scope to web sites that have lots of things in common, such as the types of pages most groups need to build.

2. How much does it cost to get a web site built and maintained?
We settled on two pricing plans, to try and fit any Scout group. The features are described in more detail in the Pricing page, but they are briefly summarized below:

3. What would my unit's website name be?
If your unit already owns an internet Domain Name, such as http://www.troop398.org, then it can be "pointed" to our hosting site (you need to contact the owner of the Domain Name to make this change). If your Scouting unit purchases a Basic Site from JDWD and does not own or purchase a Domain Name, your unit's web address will be of the form http://www.jdwd.net/troop130. If your unit does not own a Domain Name and wants a Basic Site, a name can be purchased for an additional $15 per year. With the purchase of a Full-Featured Site from JDWD, a new Domain Name is obtained for your unit, e.g., http://www.pack420.net, included in the initial setup fee.

4. How do I contact Jacob and Daniel?
Just send us an e-mail. Once you are a customer we will provide a mailing address as well (for example, to send photos that you would like to be scanned and uploaded). Another way to contact us, if you want to describe the features you would like in a web site, click on the "Get A Site" link on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen or click here.
