Fall Fishing Derby 2017

Trinity Trails Fishing Derby

In a Stocked Pond

Saturday Sept. 16th, 2017
Greenbrier Recreational Area
(3 Blocks North of I-20 on Hemphill)
Fort Worth, Texas

Who?All Trinity Trails Registered Cub Scouts or any boy interested in joining.
Bring a friend!
What?Annual Fishing Derby
Why?Cause WE LIKE TO FISH! You can also earn the Fishing belt loop!
When? From 8:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, Sept. 16th, 2017. Registration begins at 8:00 and the fishing starts as soon as you get registered.
Where?Greenbrier Recreational Area, three blocks north of I-20 on Hemphill Street. Take I-20 to the Hemphill exit and turn north (toward downtown Ft. Worth). Just before you get to the big overpass bridge, the sign will be on your left. Take a left turn and follow the street to the parking lot and you’re there.

How much does it cost? Just $10 gets you a patch, worms, and a chance for prizes!

What do I need to bring? Bring your fishing gear if you have it. If you don’t have your own, we’ll have some to borrow.

How do I register? Easy, just show up and go to the registration table. Give the nice people your $10 registration fee, sign in, and get your patch and bait.

What about prizes? There will be three categories: Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Strangest Catch. To be fair, winners are limited to one prize only. 1st place in each category gets a new Rod and Reel, 2nd place in each category gets a new Tackle Box with tackle. Winners will be notified by telephone and prizes will be given out at the next Cub Scout Roundtable meeting. Sorry guys, but we practice "Catch and Release" so if you want fish for dinner ya gotta go to Long John Silvers!
