Texas YPT Classes 2017

As many of you are aware, the Texas Department of state Health Services requires all camp staff members (volunteer and paid) plus any adult attending a camp complete a classroom-facilitated Youth Protection Training Course in order to attend a licensed Summer Resident Camp or Summer Day Camp.  Among others this includes Cub Scout Day Camp, Boy Scout Summer Camp and Twin Arrows.  If you took this training last year, then you can stop reading this now because the training is good for two years.  This training supersedes the online YPT training - in other words, if you take this class, you will get credit for YPT and you will not have to do the YPT online training.

Four classes are scheduled:

  • March 6th, 6pm - 7pm
Arborlawn Methodist Church (in the Student Ministry Building which used to be the Longhorn council office)
    5021 Briarhaven Rd
    Fort Worth, TX 76109
  • April 3rd, 6pm - 7pm
Arborlawn Methodist Church (in the Student Ministry Building which used to be the Longhorn council office)
    5021 Briarhaven Rd
    Fort Worth, TX 76109

  • May 16th, 7pm - 8pm
    Westminster Presbyterian Church
    7001 Trail Lake Dr
    Fort Worth, TX 76133
  • June 5th, 6pm - 7pm
Arborlawn Methodist Church (in the Student Activity Center which used to be the Longhorn council office)
    5021 Briarhaven Rd
    Fort Worth, TX 76109

P.S.  To help ensure you get credit for the class, it would be beneficial if you bring your BSA Id number with you.
P.P.S.  There is a test at the end - please arrive prior to the beginning of the class to ensure you get credit.
